Welcome!! You have found the webpage that I have created to capture my reflections, photographs, and experiences as I walk el Camino de Santiago, The Way of St. James. I will use the Way and the Camino interchangeably throughout my posts.

I would like to thank Dave Trimble for asking me to consider writing a blog. I had toyed with the idea of it as a vehicle for capturing my thoughts, but I wasn’t sure if it was something I wanted to do. It’s one thing to write, it’s another thing to write for an audience! Part of this trip is about taking risks, so I’ll rise to the challenge. If you choose to follow along, I hope you enjoy my musings and are patient as I get used to it.

In this blog, I will share my twelve day adventure with you. I’m not really sure what will unfold because 1) I’ve never walked the Way; 2) I’ve never managed a website; and 3) I’ve never blogged. Anything could happen!

I know there is a place to comment at the end of a post. Once I am on my trip, I don’t know if I will respond. It really depends on whether I have WiFi and if it feels right. I’m really not sure how much free time I will have and how tired I will be. Please feel free to comment but please don’t take it personally if I don’t answer. I could also choose to stop writing at any time. Remember, I don’t know what will unfold!

So those are the basics for now. I will be posting in the days leading up to my trip. I’ll consider it part of my “warm up” to work out the kinks and glitches as I get used to navigating the site and writing. It will also help me to remember everything that is going on as I prepare to embark on my journey.
